Question:

High Chair or Walker?

I was invited to a baby shower and I was between getting a high chair or a walker for her. Which one do you mothers find more useful?

Answer:

High chair will be used first. How about a bumbo seat? Or diapers
Walkers are safety hazards and they can cause developmental delays. High chairs are highly useful items both for meal time and to include a child who can sit well in family life at eye level with everybody else.
A high chair is much more useful! Also the other choice would be a exersauser or one of those bounce things. All of my children have been in walkers and lived and they are not anywhere close to delayed. As long as a child is properly watched and not stuck in it all day long there should be no problem. Same goes with an exersauser or bouncy. All of these things are not used until about 4-6 months of age so if you are looking for something for them to use right off I would stick to diapers, wipes, soap, shampoo, lotions, and other newborn necessities.
