I work in an 8 story apartment building that houses primarily retired old folks. I live in Rochester NY. There are roughly 200 apartments in the building. I noticed within a week of working there that the place is a total fire-trap. There are no sprinkler systems, no phones in the 2 elevators, no building-wide fire alarm incase a fire breaks out, just a few single fire alarms and the ones inside the apartments. There is a fire hose system on each floor, but no hoses. I am very worried that some night a fire will break out on one of the lower floors and many hard of hearing, slow, older people on the upper floors will have no chance of making it out. The only person on duty from 12am-8am is the doorman and theres no way he could stay and call 200 units and warn them. Every year this building passes inspection. How can this be? Is the apartment manager paying someone off?

yes, you technically can make a claim, but would suggest otherwise, if you do make a claim your insurance premium will skyrocket and the fact that you made a claim will be on you insurance record for 3 years. also i know many insurance companies actually drop their customers after they have made claims. the alternative would be to go to a body shop and get an estimate for the damage. i cant see there being too much damage as i have driven a few m3s at stock height and have never encountered this problem, so it probably just scraped the air dam, to get this fixed it would be less than $200, i personally probably wouldn't bother as there is actually no real damage to the car, in a worse case scenario, which i absolutely cannot see happening, they would have to replace the bumper cover, for an e36 m3 (95-99) this would be around 300 in parts, for and e46 (01-05) around 350 and for an e90 (06-current) around 4-600) plus 2-500 for paint depending on the color and which m3 you have. i hope this helps
