Umm gravy vs. iron. I pick, Gravy! Lol if you want iron just put some meat in it. Maybe beef?
What are you making the gravy from? If it's from a vegetarian base, I doubt it. The site below lists some veggies and grains that include iron, plus how much per serving.
Vegan Marmite Gravy Ingredients 1 tbsp soy garden or olive oil 1 large onion - thinly sliced 2-3 tbsp flour 2 tsp marmite 1/2 pint water, or thereabouts Herbs are optional for additional flavor (for chicken use sage. for beef use rosemary) Instructions 1) Heat margarine/oil in a large cast iron pan and add the thinly sliced onion. Cook the onion over a low heat until slightly caramelized. 2) Stir in the flour- blending very well to avoid lumps. Cook for a few minutes, stirring all the time. 3) Stir in the the marmite with a wooden spoon, then slowly add boiling water. 4) Herbs, and simmer until the gravy has thickened. I also like to add thinly sliced black mushrooms.
