Question:

how are magnetic domains separated/arranged on a hard drive disc?

I know that the information (bits) are encoded onto and read from a hard drive disc by a magnetic writer/reader in tracks and sectors however I am not sure how the magnetic material on the platter is separated into magnetic domains representing the bits instead of just spreading the magnetism over the entire track like it would on an analog tape. Also, are sectors physically separated or just separated by saying this sector begins and ends here and that one there If you could answer these questions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Answer:

this sector begins and ends here and that one there ^ this.
