Question:

How are tires recycled?

how are tires recycled?

Answer:

they are fed into large machines that grind up the tire and seperate the metal wires inside. The rubber that is saved is made into small pellets for further use.
Some tires just end up in the landfill, some are ground up and used for playgrounds instead of sand, most tires are re treaded and sold as used.
Depending on where you live they can be ground up and used for asphalt filler or reformed in to railway crossings, expansion joints, etc. Whole tires can be retread, or if they are not in good enough shape for retread farmers often use them as weights to hold down covers on animal feed. They can even be used to make a tree swing ;-)
