Question:

how can an additive be harmful to human body?

additives that is used in an food

Answer:

what do you mean by additive huh cyanide is an additive do you mean the ones that are known to be harmful and still included bcoz they are a cheaper alternative tobacco is bad for you, either chewing or smoking it, only now are they putting warnings on it for its danger
Wow, that would take an hour to answer and would still not be completely answered. The basic fact is that most additives are toxic to the human body simply because the cells cannot metabolize substances that are not natural. They end up being stored between cells, in the blood, between joints, etc, as toxins that build up and over time cause illnesses such as cancers, arthritis, etc. That is why they are so baaaaad. Even simple additives such as table salt (not sea salt) cannot be metabolized and often collect in the joints leading/contributing to arthritic conditions, and even conditions of the kidneys. PS the FDA in not necessarily your friend either, they certify toxins all of the time.
Well if the additive were cyanide, well than the answer would be obvious. An additive could be harmful if it were in fact some sort of poison or carcinigen. However food additives are reviewed by the FDA and are for the most part entirely safe. Healthy? Maybe not. But safe.
