Question:

how can i clear out the valve stem on my motorcycle tire without puncturing the rubber?

i have already taken the valve out but there is something jammed down inside of it. is there a way for me to clear it our or should i just go buy a new tube.

Answer:

if you can find a real old ball point pen remove the brass ink tube inside, break off the closed end so its just a tiny brass pipe stick it through the obstruction in the valve stem to let the air out. chances are the obstruction is just some loose rubber or fix a flat that has rolled up into a ball got stuck in the stem by the centrifugal force from the rapidly spinning tire. the hard part will be finding a real old pen with the brass tube in it. they all use plastic ink tubes now.
inflate it without the valve in,it should find its own way out
Any good auto store sells a 4-way valve stem tool. It has a outside thread chaser on one end, a core remover on another, an inside thread chaser, and a easy out for removing the shells of broken valve cores on the fourth end. All for about $3.
