Question:

How can I cross reference ASTM standards for pipe fittings to valve specifications?

example; I am asked for a Y Strainer Flanged ANSI 300 to be coupled to a Ball Valve which is rated 3000lb . Am I just stupid or is there somthing fundiemental I'm missing here. There seems to be no way to cross reference the standards of the engineering world.ie ASME , BS , DIN , EN , SABS and ity goes on and on. Is there any one out there who has a handle on this nightmare of standards.

Answer:

They think that the problem is the younger generation, but its not! its the older generation who we learn fromso why are they making the kids the bad guys? They need to look in the mirror and see where the problems really are! They are the parents! They are the Government! They are the teachers! They are the authority! and THEY are the ones screwing up! blame them not us! When I was in school I skippedgot in troubleand the teachers didn't carenobody seemed to care. So tell me who really has the problem. if the older generation lets them get away with it for so longhow do they expect kids to listen? adults are doing the same thingsadults are their role-models and I don't think that micro-chipping your kid is going to solve any problems if anything it is just going to make things a whole lot worse!
The internet knows all !! , may i suggest you google the electrical schematics from the Manf. , online ??
