I got a free sofa from a local fish and poultry shop the sofa smells just like the mom-and-pop shop I got it from. which is great but I don't sell chicken or fish. How can I get it out? I really like the sofa
quickest n easiest would be using febreeze. u may have to let the cushions air out in the sunshine that will help. sprinkle some baking soda on it, let it sit, then vacumn it up if these don't work u may want to rent an uphoulstery shampooer. good luck

-take the cushions off.. sprinkle 1/2 cup baking soda on the part where you usually sit, spread it around with a broom or your hands...let it sit for at least an hour..vacuum it up, along with the arms and backrest of the sofa. -do the covers come off the
first you will want to wash all of the pillow cases on the sofa make sure you wash these with twice the amount of detergent and in HOT water. Also add 1 cup of baking soda to the water and some fabric softener. (any kind will work) now use some Oust spray on the body of your sofa , vacuum the sofa and sprinkle some baby powder and baking soda on it, then vacuum it again. once you get the pillowcases back on the smell should me gone iof not treat it with the baby powder and baking soda again and vacuum you can also try a little fabreez on your sofa.
