Question:

how can i lift my car 1 inch?

i have an 86 cutlass supreme (it used to have airbag suspension) i just put in a set of springs and shocks, and it sits a lil too low if i hit a dip my tires start to rub, what is the best or easiest way to get about 1 inch of lift in front and back

Answer:

The right answer, as opposed to spacers and what not (which aren't the right fix, simply a band aid, however well they work) is to get higher rate springs. You may not be able to get away with progressive springs (again, perhaps too much travel before they get stiff enough to work) but single rate springs, cut to the height you require, will fix the problem. Rear is very easy to install/cut/reinstall, front a lot harder unfortunately. Also, some GOOD shocks will slow down wheel movement, that may also be a contributing factor, if the ones on there aren't that good.
hardly any but the difference in sound is tremendous. The VR6 sounds amazing with a performance exhaust.
Install air shocks. We tend to see a need for a 3 to 5 inch lift to clear 22's on most cars. For 24's, you may need up to a 13 lift to clear with no cutting and a full turning radius. For 26's and larger you almost always need a minimum 13 kit.
Hi, Looks like you got the wrong: 1) Spring-shock set. They're too short. Soln. Get a longer set. 2) You got wrong size tyres. They're too large. Soln. get smaller ones. Either of these should correct the problem. HTH
