Question:

How can I reduce the glow of my LCD monitor?

I was recently gifted a 19 LCD monitor that I now have set up next to my old 19 CRT. When displaying dark colors, there is a noticeable glow coming from the screen that is not a problem with the CRT. This is especially visible when using the blank screen saver (the CRT appears to be off while the LCD is still filling the room with light). Is there any way I can reduce the glowing?

Answer:

For you question on twin or quad, get Quad. i offered a working laptop or pc a pair of 12 months in the past and have been given twin middle because of the fact i presumed quad would not be mandatory for some years. properly, i could desire to get a quad because of the fact my processor won't be able to maintain up, inspite of a few browser video games. make certain you get a minimum of two.8ghz+ for CPU velocity. a number of video games appropriate now are wanting 2.4-2.6 minimum. could desire to besides be slightly previous to the activity.
change the settings, the buttons on the monitor, open up the menu, change the brightness contrast and backlight to you liking.
Instead of using a blank screen for a screen saver go into the power options in control panel and have the monitor shut off after whatever time period you normally have the screen saver come on. So after lets say 5 minutes the monitor should lose signal and basically turn off. Mine goes into a sleep mode, the power button turns from green to yellow and the screen does not try and display a black screen but instead cuts power to the actually screeen rendering it completely black.
