Question:

How can i remove the rust from my bass amp cable?

the rust is in the area right below the plug that i plug into my amp.i got the rust from when my mom's cat knocked over my fish bowl and my cable ended up getting wet on that one end.

Answer:

If the plug is chrome plated, here's a solution I seen used on car bumpersTake some aluminum foil and crumple it upDip it in Coca-Cola, and then use that to remove the rustHow well it works depends on how deep the corrosion isFollow with clean water and then dry it wellBut, you should have a spare cable anywayCables are the weakest link in an electric guitar (or bass) setupNever leave home with just one!
