I would like to purchase a mobile phone with sim card from the states and send it to my fiance in Nigeria? I already did it and it took forever for it to be delivered, but he did get it. But he is unable to use it cuz of the american sim. He wasnt even able to put his existing sim into it to make it work. I want to actually buy a phone online and have it sent directly to Nigeria.Is this possible? I just want to make sure it will work and make sure he gets it faster than the last time. I tried to find a phone online that works with his phone provider which is called Zain Nigeria and I have had no such luck. Please can someone help me. thank you very much

You can get a basic mobile phone without a camera for less than US5$, and even one with a camera can be bought for about US20-25$. You are going to pay much more for the phone and shipping from the US than the same phone can be bought in Nigeria. There is no need to buy a phone for someone in Nigeria, they can buy a phone for less than what it costs to go online at an internet cafe for 3 hours. You should be asking him to send you a phone since he can probably get the same model for half of what you would pay
