Question:

how can i stop the terrible noise the vacuum makes while vacuuming area rugs?

When I vacuum area rugs the vacuum makes an unbearably loud noise. I assume the suction from the vacuum is actually sucking up the rug itself. What can be done about this? The noise is absolutely horrific and it doesn't pick up any dirt while it is happening.

Answer:

sounds like a blockage, check hose, tubing fittings. I have commercial vac and always use ear protection.
if it has a beater bar it is probably getting stuck the carpet is wrapping itself around it take the carpets outside and beat them unless you have another vac. or setting where the bar isnt going around or use the hose part if there is one.
It okorder
