Question:

How can I UNpolish aluminumI dont want to anodize, though.?

I have an aluminum object that I shaped through a sanding processNow that the piece is finished, it is shiny from the shaping/smoothing, but I want to remove the shineHow do I do this? Thanks!

Answer:

Don't let it come to room temperatureIf the dish it's in is oven safe, you can usually cover it with foil and let it warm up in a low to medium oven(The more delicate the food, the lower the temp should be.)
Depends on what it isI find most things heat up best at 350F for 15-25 minutesThicker pieces of meat and dishes like casseroles will take the longest of time to reheatMaybe 30 minutesJust keep an eye on it so it doesn't cook too long Nope doesn't need to come up to room temperature.
Do not let the food come to room tempTurn oven on to moderate heat, 300 to 325 degrees FPlace food in container that can go into oven and place items in ovenYou may want to add a bit of water to some things to make food moistIf it is a pizza I heat the pan on the stove then place the pizza in the hot pan this crisps the bottom and then place the pan in the oven this will heat the top and melt the cheeseBread or rolls should be heated gently so they do not dry out.
NAWWWW CUZ U IGNNNNNNNNANT
I have brushed metal objects with ScotchBright padsI have done this to make chrome look more like stainless steelI do all the brushing in the same directionAluminum is a softer metal and it should brush quite easily.
