Question:

how can u make things levitate?

i saw once on TV this guy made this simple coil of wire leviatate just by plugging it in the wall

Answer:

The table was a sheet of copper. AC flowing through the coil generates an alternating magnetic field, which in turn generates eddy currents in the copper. This creates a repulsive force. You can do the same thing with a permanent magnet if you move it forwards fast enough. A spinning disc of copper will levitate a permanent magnet above it as long as the disc spins fast enough and the magnet is strong enough.
You can use magnets, or electromagnets, also superconductive materials are not permeable to magnetic fields, so they levitate over a magnet. There are some toy games that use magnets that levitate, try some toy stores or learning stores. There is a train (the maglev) that levitates and run over magnetic fields, try to search for it on google or yahoo.
