Question:

How can you drive on Ice without snow chains?

We have a 4 wheel drive, but my dad was afraid to drive on ice, so we couldn't get through. We were stuck in the mountains for 2 days, until they came and cleared the road.

Answer:

IN YOUR CIVIC THE REAR SYSTEM IS A STUT SET UP, THEY NEED TO BE REPLACED, BUT FIRST LET ME TRY TO SAVE YOU A LITTLE MONEY IF YOUR LUCKY, REMOVE THE STRUT ASSEMBLY AND INSPECT THE UPPER STRUT MOUNTS,THERE RUBBER AND WEAR OUT OVER TIME, IF ALL IS OK THEN REPLACE THE STRUTS,,, BUT WARNING DO NOT ATTEMP TO DISASSEMBLE THE STRUTS WITHOUT THE PROPER SPRING COMPRESSOR!! YOU WILL GET HURT OR EVEN KILLED!!! SO TAKE IT TO A GOOD REPAIR SHOP IF YOUR NOT SURE IF YOU CAN DO IT YOURSELF!! GOOD LUCK
Well being from the south we party around bonfires all the time. U dont have to do all that. All u need is a fire and byob. The rest will take care of itself. A warm fire and cold beer is all u need!
It should have a clip at the bottom of it. So you should be able to get a small lock and put it through that. I've seen it done many times at work
It appears to me from what little information you give, that your shocks/ Macpherson struts are worn out. They are bottoming out because the fluids that are sealed inside a shock have leaked past the seals.Basically wear and tear.
