How can you establish a load rating for a crane/hoist if there is no information otherwise?Old hoist, no load rating indicated.
if it is a mass produced crane, look up the manufacturer's number and call them up to request the info or do your best to research it online. if it is some kind of home-made or one-off crane you are SOL unless you can come up with the math and physics to figure it out. which is a whole other question.
