Question:

How can you tell if you are iron deficient?

And which foods are high in iron?

Answer:

You have to see your doc for a blood test to know if you are low in iron. Green leafy veggies are high in iron. If you think you may be anemic then see your doc and get this checked out.
Symptoms of low iron include tiredness, pale skin, irritability, weakness, and sometimes an appetite for strange things. Iron rich foods include green leafy vegetables, beans, fish, poultry, meat, tofu, etc. You can also take a multivitamin with iron. Drinking a glass of orange juice or other vitamin C rich drinks will help increase iron absorption.
the obvious test or if your tired all the time or if you have a pure gold ring(this might sound crazy but it works take it and make a line across your forehead and if it leaves a blue or gray line there then you are definently iron deficient. .just cooking in an iron skillet can give you enough iron for the day or eat a piece of steak or some cereals have added iron
