How come wwe doesn't have any barb wire rope or scaffold match?
Those type of matches can take years off a wrestlers career. If WWE shorterns their wrestlers careers then they can't make as much money off of them. American promotions that do that only do that to be different from WWE, and to try to draw attention since most of them can't match WWE's wrestling. Promotion from different countries do those type of matches for different reason though.
I think it would have to do with the younger crowds. The barb wire would be to graphic for some kids. As far as the scaffold matches I'm not sure.
Barbed wire matches would probably be too violent for casual viewers, turning most of them off to the product. Scaffold matches usually take a huge toll on the wrestlers, especially on those who actually take the fall off of the scaffold. Besides, scaffold matches are crap anyway.
Because they're on basic cable? Seriously, barbwire matches are extremely violent and not worth the risk, and Scaffold matches are all payoff and no good build. I've only seen two watchable scaffolding matches in my life. One was between the Free Birds and the Road Warriors, the other was Rhino and AJ in TNA. A good, entertaining scaffolding match is hard to pull off, and not worth the risk of injury. I guess the correct answer is Vince McMahon cares about money, and to injure a major draw in such a stupid, boring, one-spot-wonder like a Scaffold Match is just bad business. As for barbwire rope matches, they limit what you can do in the ring, you'd be surprised how claustraphobic it can be for a wrestler who can't leave the ring, go up top, or hit the ropes, not to mention the major risk. I mean, have you seen what happened to Sabu during the Funker/Douglas/Sabu match back in ECW? One of the sickest scars ever.
well to do the barb wire matches and even the scaffolding matches first you need guys who can take the pain they would be in. not to many people want to put their selves in that kind of match. but if you do want to see matches like that then you should watch Japanese death matches like the ones cactus jack and terry funk use to have with the exploding turnbuckles and stuff now those are some great things to watch.
