I have a 1998 Taurus, I wanted to change the brake pads, could someone tell me how to change them.

get yourself a 7 mm allen key, force back old pads completely so that the piston is fully retracted,ensuring that you have removed filler cap off brake fliud reservoir, unfasten the 2 bolts which hold brake caliper to housing, remove caliper but dont disconnect the hose, now you can remove pads, clean everything down, and remove build up of scale with screwdriver, fit new pads, you may need to force back piston a bit more before, then reassemble, tighten everything and recheck, then pump brake pedal until it feels normal, reapeat on other side. dont hold me responsible if you do anything wrong !
If you haven't been trained to repair brake systems, don't attempt it. The repair is easy to do, but it's also easy to mess up. Something as simple as a small twist on a hydraulic hose can leave your disc brakes non-functional. A return spring in the wrong place can leave your drum brakes non-functional.
