you should have called poison control the second it got in your eye, that stuff could really damage the stuff in your eye.you also should have flushed your eyes out with icy cold water
Most people just flush the pipes with clean water to remove any residue
Find the nearest fawcet down the line and open it for five minutes. Flux is a mild acid and it bonds with water molecules easily. therefore it washes out quickly. As well as they are not allowed to put any bad chemicals in materials that will be used in a potable water system, so small amounts will not hurt you. - Remember if the fawcet has an areator on it that screen should be removed before you flush the line. This should be done anytime you repair a pipe, flux or not.
