Use furniture polish, the kind in the aerosol can. Spray it on and use a soft rag or a paper towel and wipe the polish off. If the chairs have areas where a paper towel can't reach, like if they are carved, use a paint brush that was sprayed lightly with the polish and clean those areas with that.
