Question:

How do I find out how much my total inheritance that my sister has put in a bank for me?

I had a small stroke and my sister I beleave has some how claim control of my part of my inheritance and she send me $500 a month from a bank and I did not sign papers for this to be done.

Answer:

see if someone at the bank can help you
The only way she can be doing this legally is if she has a Guardianship over you or she is administering a trust set up for your benefit with her as the trustee. Regardless, you need to seek legal counsel to 1) determine if she is doing this legally and if so 2) to either set aside the guardianship or appoint a new trustee if you wish. Best wishes.
is your part of the inheritance in a bank accopunt in your own name, or is it in an account that is in your sisters name as well? I would contact the sollicitor/lawyer that administered your mother's will at the time. He should be able to help you.
If you did not sign the paper work for her to do this, then she must have gone to court and got a court order to take care of you because you were not able to carry on your own business. If she did this you might have to petition the court and prove she did this with malice and not for your better health. You can get it reversed. Go to the bank and ask them why they allowed this to take place. She would have had to sign your name somewhere to take your money.
If the account is in your name and she is withdrawing money from it without your written legal permission eg. power of attorney, then she is stealing. Have her arrested! Go to the bank first though and find out who's name the account is in and get a print out from the bank manager of all withdraws and where they were made from for the past 6 months. if the bank wont give you this stuff then get a subpoena. To me though, it sounds like she is just not making your inheritance deposits and keeping the money for herself, which is stealing too. You will have to go to court to get that fixed, if that's the case.
