Question:

How do I fix my broken windshield wipers?

Motor runs, windshield wipers try to move, but they just move like an inch and go back down. First only one did it, now both. Just wondering what it takes to fix this, or what kinda place fixes this, and about how much it would cost. I drive a 99 ford expedition.

Answer:

The point where the clutch engages is called the friction zone. You'll start to feel the clutch enter the friction zone as you release it slowly. It doesn't matter how high you rev it if you keep the clutch steady. People get distracted by the noise. You can have the thing screaming but it won't shoot out unless you dump the clutch. Once the bike starts moving don't get nervous and release it. Just keep letting it out slowing. Don't pick your feet up until you are ready to shift into second gear. that can be a distraction trying to find the peg.
first off. go to this question asked a few hours ago read the posts there. its all about stopping the bike(this is an important bit). Sport bike. Brakes or Engine? In Motorcycles - Asked by Sharise A - 5 answers - 2 hours ago when your starting the bike should have around the 1500 RPM on the tacho let the clutch out until it starts to grab then as you let the clutch out further accelerate at the same time practice is all you need the rear brake on a newer bike is for when your stopped at the lights or starting on a hill. the front brake is what stops you I hardly use my rear brake at all use it to control wheel spin at the rear sometimes, when riding fast on the edge
The clutch is all about feeling. You will eventually get the feeling of when the bike is underway and when its about to stall. I was lucky, I already had experience driving a manual truck when I decided to learn how to ride a bike. The course your taking will help you a lot. I always use both brakes. The front break amounts for 70% of braking power so it's advised you use both, unless you want to do a front-flip. If your going slow enough, you can just use one or the other.
the motor might be to weak to move them back and forth, but still turn on. Other than that look at the arm that Connect the wipers together it might be jamming up some were
Buy a set of new ones. Windshield wipers go bad after a year or so. Or you can ask auto zone to see if they have an idea.
