I decided not to create another partition to install XP on my Windows 7 computer and got VM Workstation, insteadNow, I cannot get the internet to work in XP when I'm running it in the WorkstationIt's frustrating, but probably simple, and I need it so I can download certain programs to XPIf I could transfer a program and its settings from Windows 7 to XP inside the Workstation, that would work, too, but I still need the internet to workThanks
Once you actually see the traffic in NYC you'll be more than a little intimidated about driving thereI live in Dallas, Texas and the traffic is pretty bad here but I'd never consider driving in NYCI think you should park outside the city and take public transportationIf you do drive in you'll have trouble finding a place to park and when you do it will be outrageously expensiveBut I guarantee you'll love the city.
Your not going to be able to see it from Penn StationIt depends on how you want to view it If you would like to see it from the water, and actually sail underneath it, head over to Pier 83, walking distance from Penn Station, and hop on the Circle Line for a cruise around Manhattan If you choose to walk on it, you have a few optionsYou can take the 2 or 3 train downtown from Penn Station to Park Place, and walk the rest of the way, its not far at all, and theres signs pointing to it along Centre StreetOr you can take the A, C, 2, or 3 train to Broadway-Nassau Street, and either walk it, or transfer to the J, M, Z, 4 or 5, and take it uptown one stop to the Brooklyn Bridge station (City Hall)This way is actually backtracking a bitOr if you just want to take pictures of it, take the 2 train to Fulton Street, and walk to South Street Seaport (about 3 blocks), go to the end of the piers there, either by the tall ships, or the end of the Pier with the stores (drawing a complete blank to the number of the piers), and theres some excellent photo opportunities of the bridge from there.
Going to see the Brooklyn Bridge is one of the easiest things to do in NYC! All you need to do is take the Number 2 or 3 subway train from Penn Station to Park PlaceThen, walk about half a block north to Murray Street, where you will find an entrance to City Hall ParkEnter the Park and walk directly across it to the other sideWhen you leave the Park, turn Left, and walk about a blockYou will see the entrance to the Brooklyn Bridge to your leftYou can walk across the BridgeIt's one of the best things to do in NYC, in my opinion! You can get great views from the Bridge, and the Bridge itself is a magnificent work of architecture! It's free, it's fun, you'll see a lot of NYC, and it's easy to do! I highly recommend it!
There are several ways to do this but the least confusing way is to walk one block east on 34 street to Herald Square (Broadway) and take the downtown N,Q,R, or W train to 14 street/Union SquareAt 14 street, transfer to the downtown 4 or 5 trainTake that one stop to Brooklyn Bridge/City HallOnce you get out of the station the bridge will be on the left.
I assume you mean VMWare WorkstationTwo thingsMake sure VMWare is set to use bridged networking for that virtual machineThis will allow the windows xp install to have it's own ip addressAlso make sure you installed vmware tools under windows xpthat should include the needed drivers for windows xp to see the network adapter.
