Question:

How do I get pen out of white carpet?

A pen broke open on the carpet and without my knowledge, my dad went and sprayed rubbed it with Windex which I'm pretty sure it made it worst. I looked online and tried using hairspray and vinegar water but it hardly helped. Should I try nail polish remover or baking soda? Please help!

Answer:

definately the rubbing alcahol, or hand santizer which is alcahol too, it gets printer ink stains and pen stains out of my clothes.
Try automotive brake cleaner. It will dissolve it like magic.
Try nail polish remover, Warning it will look worst before it gets better!!! What I do is get nail polish and paper, towels cotton balls etc...and pour so nail polish remover then dab dab dab....throw cotton balls away when they are used up and get a new one...it will take a while but it should work...
Dab rubbing alcohol on the stain Using paper towel apply pressure to lift it out Continue to do this till its removed
Cut out a section of carpet that the stain is at and replace the carpet with another piece of white carpet and you may need to cut out a bigger piece of carpet than what is stained..cause the section must be able to reach the walls edge where the carpet is held by strips of wood that have little nails in them so your carpet doesn't move..use special carpet glue for the part of carpet that is Not connected to the nail strips..hopefully your carpet is not low pile...cause then you will see the patch.. Shag rugs are best for patching..without seeing the patch...
