Question:

How do I get rid of sewage smell coming from wash basin?

Plumber cannot find cause. Has cleaned trap under wash basin. Dug up outside to see if toilet trap is in good condition. Appears to be. Even outside wall has been removed to see if any other pipes are ok. Everything looks fine. I'm at a loss.

Your lavatory (wash basin) most likely has an overflow - a channel molded into the basin in case it's stoppered and the water's running and you walk away to answer the phone. The overflow can get pretty odoriferous and is not all that easy to clean. I use a test balloon (you have to block the drain below where the overflow enters) and fill it with a bleach/water solution. You could try bleach and a turkey baster. Use appropriate caution. If you've checked everything else, that's one last place to look.

Try baking soda and white vinegar, pour in the soda then the vinegar, let it foam and sit awhile, then follow up with some hot water. Plastic drains in the kitchen will give off an odor and that is what I use. Since the sink is stainless steel, I fill the tea kettle with water, get it boiling and pour it down. Don't try that if you wash basin is china.

Assuming that your sink drains fine ..... The trap keeps enough water in it to prevent sewage gasses from backing up into the sink (in your case). If the water is in the trap as it should be, the gasses CAN NOT back up to the sink, the question is why isn't the water staying in the trap like it should ( might be getting syphoned out) or the trap isn't installed properly, or the trap is leaking, it has to be one or the other. Are there other plumbing fixtures in the room that might be letting the gasses back up and it just smells like it's coming from the sink ? Just one rule to remember, if the water is in the trap as it should be, gasses can not back up.

It shouldn't smell like that. If there is any smell it would basically be from the bag. extra desirable than in all threat if it got here from Ross it replaced into in all threat used and then washed. i might the two get your a reimbursement or replace it for yet another and verify you open it up and smell it formerly you pruchase back. I doubt that the dry cleaners can do something. as quickly as you get the feather moist interior there could desire to be mold growing to be-yuck. whenever you purchase from decrease fee places like which you would be able to desire to thouroughly examine it over and open it up formerly procuring.
