Question:

How do I get speed bumps on our street?

The people drive like manics on my street (It's like living next to a race track). I'm afraid to let my children play in the back yard (we live on the corner). Who do I contact within my city to get speed bumps put on our street? I also read that it can take a up to year, is that so? Thanks.

Answer:

It is known as the 'glitter path' ;) Read about it here uni-muenster.de/imperia/md/content/fachbereich_physik/didaktik_physik/publikationen/glitter_path.pdf
