Answer:

Dodge Neon Cold Air Intake
Return it and get the simple SHORT air intake. Once the car start moving both style gets the same performance. The Cold is better in theory only (and only at complete stop). Once the car is moving there's so much air circulating under the hood all of them suck in ambient temp air. This is from a Honda performance book I was reading (at the book store). I have a short air intake and I can feel the extra HP easily. Good Luck.
it is actually quite simple. 5 easy steps 1) Take off the stock airbox by unclippling and unscrewing everything. You will end up taking out a bigger part of an airbox called the intake resonator. That should be a little bigger then your airbox. You want to disconnect it upto the motor. 2) Put the intake in by steps. First you'll want to connect the earliest point with the MAF sensor on to the intake. That will make sure your car is getting the right air to fuel mixture. Then since you have a Cold Air intake, you'll want to take off your wheel, on whatever side, i think your left wheel? Your going to want to make sure you have the screws to tighten the intake piping with the connectors to the body of the car. THere should be about 2 of them with holes in them for the screws, and spots for them on the body. 3) Oil up the intake filter on the bottom and put it on the end of the piping. Make sure its a tight fit, especially because you have a cold air. After your tighten it, make sure you put your wheel back on correctly, by cross tightening, and then your good to go. 4) Make sure everything is on tight and start up the car. 5) Punch it everywhere you go and you will have looks from everyone going WTF!?!
