Question:

How do I keep my aluminum chainmail from oxidizing?

I have a shirt of aluminum chainmail that leaves black stuff on whatever it touchesIs there a way to get it cleaned up and quot;sealedquot; so it doesn't leave black stuff on things? Thanks!

Answer:

Start from the top down Roof insulation is very very inportant and should be your first purchase, and maybe boarding also for extra storage.Wall foam insulation.plenty of companys do this at very reasonable prices.( money well worth spending ) Check with your local council, some are doing this free of charge. If you cant afford double glazing use cling-film on the glass.Keep curtains closed at night.Have your boiler tested to make sure its working properly.Draught excluders for your doors if needed.Whatever you spend on insulation is a save on your heating bills for the future. An extra jumper always on stand byGood luck, keep warm.
Hire a company who does Spray in Foaming from the outside of the house thats what I plan on doing with my Parents house , because it feels it's always a Negative R-1 in the winter time.
with the shirt I made, I just washed it in soapy water and cleaned it off with plain water a couple timesIt stopped leaving black stuff.
