i want to make a rug/mat for door way floor using 3 Colors but wouldn't have a clue how. what im asking u is what craft is used for example knitting or cross stitching thanks in advance

With straws and what ever material of sting you want. Line up a bunch of straws for the size and shape you want. Run the string through them tie them off at one one one end, Then get to weaving. After its done. pule the straws out and tie of the thing ends. Or leave them in for a stonger mat
In a Martha Stewart 'Living' magazine, she wired together solid wood rods (round or flat). Also you can hook a rug. You can buy hooked rug kits in fabric stores. I've hooked rugs before, and I can say it's easy and fast. I enjoyed it most probably, because it was fast and you can see your accomplishment allot sooner than other projects. well i would kind of cut fabric length wise and braid the 3 different colors like a pigtail. and connect them together side by side to make it long or square or you can be creative and braid 3 of the same color separate and connect them side by side or even in an oval. i could be wrong but hopefully it will give you an idea of what you want to do. it depends on what material you wish to use also. good luck!
