Question:

How do I remove the drain stopper from my bathroom sink?

This is the type of stopper you push down/pull up to drain or keep water in the sink. I,ve pulled, pushed & twisted, it wont come loose to drain. its stuck in the drain, wont drain.

Answer:

More force fixes everything.
I had a plumber remove mine.
extremely tough thing. look on google or bing. this might help!
If it's got a knob behind the handles that pushes it up or down: Look under the sink, and there will be a shaft going into the drain pipe. It has a ball inside behind a nut, then a shaft going further in that manipulates the stopper. Unscrew the nut and pull out the shaft. Then the stopper will pull out.
If it has a lever coming out the back, under the sink, then you undo the nut on the lever, pull the lever out, and the stopper will then remove. If it's the kind that you manually operate, with a knob on top of the drain cap, then twist it to unscrew it to remove. This is usually found in bathtubs, but can be found in vanity sink bowls, too. After you get the drain stopper out, use a wire coat hanger with a small hook on the end to remove hair, etc. Might be necessary to undo the P trap -- modern ones are all white pvc, and can be done without tools. Put a bucket underneath, to catch trapped water, and have a couple of old towels at the ready.
