how do I replace the windshield wipers on a 2005 ford taurus?

Answer:

It's fairly simple to do. First of all, you want to check with your local parts store or parts provider to get the proper size for the windshield wipers. Once you have the windshield wipers handy, the rest is easy. We'll start off on the driver's side wiper. Go to the driver's side windshield, and pull up on the entire wiper and arm. This will raise it in about a 90 degree angle with your hood. Once the arm is raised, you will see that the old blade pivots. Take the old blade and adjust it so it makes a T with the wiper arm. You will see a small button on the under side of the wiper blade, right where it attaches to the wiper arm. Depress this button, while simultaneously pulling the wiper downward towards the hood of the car. This process should be easy. Don't see the little tab or button to depress? You may need a small slotted screwdriver to help get yourself some leverage. Repeat these processes identically for the passenger side. Hope this helps.
