you should chose the macbook white i think they are great, the lay out is great, you can do all sort of things on it like the speech thing or you can hide the menu bar by the way i got one and i'm rely happy with it

If you are going to be using it for surfing the web and doing papers for school the macbook white will be perfect for youThe aluminum macbook is the same computer, except aluminum with better technical specifications (more RAM, faster processor etc.) These things won't make much of a difference if you only plan to use word processor and the internetThe aluminum might be better if you watch quite a few videos on youtube and such, the aluminum macbooks do not get as hot as fast as the plastic ones doThe macbook air is something that you should only purchase for aesthetic purposes, it has less power than both the macbook white and the macbook aluminum, for a higher price tag due to it's portabilityHope this helps!
