if you have no silver cleaner on hand try this line the bottom of your sink with aluminum foil ,and 1/2 cup of baking soda and 1 gallon of water lay your vase down in the mixture being sure to make sure all of it is touching the foil ,this method remove light tarnish from silver and silver plate (if your vase is heavily tarnished i suggest you get some wrights silver polish
