how do you cook a steak on the grill then cook it in the oven?

i was watching a show and they cooked the steak on the grill just to get the look of the grill cook, then they put it in the oven for the rest of the timeso how do i cook it like that like how long on the grill and what tempfor the oven.

they take a big block of aluminum and they flaten it with pressure rollers and as its flatend they roll it up watch how its made on discovery cannel if you have it
