So my band and I want to preform at the silver spring downtown music festival. If you live there you know when they bring out the stage in front of the fountain and the bands play? How do you apply to be one of the bands that are playing, who do I ask? What do I do?
good question, Maybe try asking the cities department of commerce, look them up in the phone book call the # ask where the dept. is located, go down there and see if anybody can give you any info. on who or what org. is the people that have access to the overall venue at the festival. then ask those people who to talk to and apply to fill a stage position. I used to look for places to play but wound up kicking the whole performance thing and wound up playing in a studio setting instead, it's tough sometimes.
