Question:

How do you get wax out of carpet?

I was burning a candle and the wax dripped on the carpet HELP

Answer:

Take a paper towel and iron over it. it will re-wet the wax and it will adhere to the paper towel. Be careful not to melt the carpet though:) Also some say ice is supposed to work but I haven't tried that one.
The best way I have found is the following. Remove any of the wax that you can without damaging the carpet fibers first. Next, use a towel and an iron set on a low setting. Place a section of the towel over the wax and heat with the iron. Keep the iron moving at all times. When you begin to see wax appearing on the towel ( it will soak into the towel as it begins melting ) move the towel to a clean section. Repeat until all of the wax is absorbed. The carpet area can then be cleaned further with goof off if necessary. If the towel is washed in hot water with detergent, the wax should wash out.
just cut the carpet where the wax is if someone askyou what happen to the carpet just tell them i dont like wax in my carpet
