Question:

How do you remove playdough from carpet?

Our kids have gotten playdough on our carpet and it is dryed up.

Answer:

I did this as a kid a long time ago. And to avoid getting in trouble with my mom, I made the playdough soft again. I added some hot water, and rubbed it out of the carpet with a towel. Goodluck with this headache.
Clean Playdough From Carpet
I have a suggestion. It has happened with my carpet in the past. All you need to do is, take piece of rag (preferably cotton), immerse it in boiling hot water and dab it on the patch where it is. This should soften both the carpet and the dough. Once this is done, say, in a couple mins or so, take a terrycot towel and brush it in one stroke. This will take off the stuff from the carpet. If this does not work, take a moist cloth (drenched in regular water). Take a semi-hot pressing iron, and slowly and lightly iron the surface of the cloth. This will make the dough stick to the cloth. It is pretty simple and non-time-consuming. Good luck :)
Scrape it out with the edge of a spoon! Vaccume it up. If your sweeper has a hose, use the edge of the hose to scrape it while the vaccum is running. If it wont come out after repeated attempts this way( it does take a bit) put a little baking soda on spot, pour vinegar over the baking soda( this activates it) blot up mess with clean rags/ paper towels. Viola no more playdoh!
Many Blessings, Lilyth
