Question:

How does a plastic fuel tank on a vehicle get damaged?

I have a micra k12 and petrol has been leaking for quite a while now but it seems to have gotten worse as there is a puddle of petrol at the bottom of the car and theres a smell of petrol. Im worndering if the plastic fuel tank has been damaged? If so, how would this get damaged? Is it due to careless driving and possibly damaging the tank by hitting it over speed bumps?

Answer:

Yes. That usually only helps you get a discount. The apartment I rented didn't come with them but I bought them (pretty inexpensive) and I still got insurance. It won't count you out, it just affects your discount.
Sounds like you have an electrical problem with the dryer
The companies that we do business with will write the policy. The smoke detectors just give you a discount. But that's in PA, I don't know where you live. The underwriting may be different where you are. Most cities have laws for landlords, that they must provide them. Check into that first. Then I would contact the fire department, and ask if they give them to people who can not afford them. Next check out the prices. Sometimes you can get a basic smoke detector for under $20. It would be a well spent $20. Then I'd forward the bill to the landlord. The worst he could do is not pay you back. Regardless, you need them, so get them any way you can.
in australia i am fairly certain that it is law that your landlord has to have them installed. if not then put them in yourself. they don't cost that much when you think about what can happen if you don't have them.
