Question:

How does bacteria survive in microbial fuel cell?

i found out that microbial fuel cell that means we use the electron produced by bacteria by using glucose as their food to create electric. But they produce electron and proton for themselves to live, like making protein, moving, reproduction. using the electrons literally means that we are sucking their life force! So, How could they ever survive?

Answer:

bacteria has the ability to not only use glucose as a food source, but if there is no glucose, they can use other things like ammonia or nitrates and other things, i forgot,,they evolved like that, , so carbon , like the carbon is glucose, is not their only possible energy source,
