Silver and Gold are some of the most reflective materials known to man. But this doesn't only apply to visible light (think about other forms of energy on the electro magnetic spectrum). Infrared energy is heat and these two elements reflect it very well. These emergency blankets reflect the dangerous amount of heat from forest fires away from the person, and can keep you warm at night. Reptiles do not produce enough body heat to survive and these blankets would reflect what little they do produce to keep them warm enough to stay alive.
You can set encryption in XP so that the drive is only accessible to the user logged in. Right click on the folder and check the encryption option. The directory/files will only be accessible for the user that encrypted it. Another option is to get the users to save it in 'My documents'. You can customise where the 'My documents' folder exists by right clicking and changing the path. 2 easy options and neither of them require 2 separat HDs, although you can still use that option if you wish.
