How is Iron purified? (Please help me!)?

Ok so I have this Science project on Iron. I‘m not quite sure what that means How is Iron purified? And when I looked it up on the internet, I found no helpful results. I‘m not sure if mining iron counts? I have no idea what it means. So if someone could briefly explain what purifying iron means maybe I could find the answer.I found no site that shows the answer. i had taht question in my test few weeks ago i dont really remebr but it said sumfin wid water it wa show can u proove iron is purified in cereal so if u put it in water it does something
Iron purified by many process. here we just talk about the preparation. After we get big size iron ore rocks ,we need iron ore processing plant to get high level iron ore concentrate. A completed iron ore processing plant mainly consists of iron ore crushing plant, iron ore grinding plant, iron ore beneficiaiton plant. Iron ore crushing plant usually includes iron ore screening plant. After we get iron concentrate, we need some chemical process to get purified iron. If you need more, your refer to URL below.
Iron ore is a compound of iron and oxygen ( it also contains other impurities such as sulphur and silicates )this has to be reduced in a blast furnace. Basically, iron ore, coke and limestone are fed into the top of the furnace (iron making is a continuous process) when the temperature reaches 455 degrees C the carbon (coke) burns to form carbon dioxide which in turn forms carbon monoxide, this then reacts with the iron oxide so, C+O2CO2 CO2 + C 2CO 3Fe2O3 CO 2Fe3O4 + CO2 ( Fe is the chemical symbol for iron) At 525 degrees C the carbon monoxide again reacts with the iron oxide to form ferrous oxide Fe3O4 + CO 3FeO + CO2 At 705 degrees C the carbon begins to react with the ferrous oxide to form iron, thia continues as the temperature increases. FeO + C Fe + CO2 Some of the iron combines with the carbon to form iron carbide 3Fe + C Fe3C At 800 to 950 degrees C the limestone decomposes to form calcium oxide. Between 1300 degrees C and 1850 degrees C the calcium oxide combines with the silicates to form calcium silicate. CaCO3 CaO CO2 CaO SiO2 Ca SiO3 It also reacts with any sulphur compounds and most of the sulphur is removed this way. FeS + Cao C Fe CaS + CO the gasses given off are used to heat the blast air that is fed into the furnace. The iron is then tapped from the bottom of the furnace to be further processed into steel or used to make iron castings. for each tonne of iron produced, there is about 370 kg of slag which being lighter than iron, floats on top of it and is tapped off higher up the furnace.for each tonne of iron produced the process uses 2 to 3 tonnes of air, 1.6 tonnes of iron ore, 1.6 tonnes of iron ore, 0.6 tonnes of coke and 0.3 tonnes of limestone.
