Is the ribbon cable the data cable and the wires the power cables?
You are correct. Power cables will always have 4 or more separated wires going into a plug. Data cables have all of their internal wires inside a single sheath.
Trace the cord with your hand, if it goes up to the power supply box way up. its a power cord. and the rest are data cord
