Question:

How long do I cook the boneless turkey and at what temp?

I got a boneless turkey (frozen)There are no instructions on itI weighed it and it's 6.2 lbsI read to cook it for 20 min per pound so I figure I should cook it for 2 hoursIs that right? Also, I just took it out of the freezer and put it in the refrigerator to thawHow long should I leave it there? What tempshould I cook it at? I'm guessing 350, but is that right? Should I wrap it in foil? I don't need to have it done in a hurry so if I have to wait 24 hours for it to defrost that's okay.

Answer:

It could take a good two days to thaw in the refridgeratorIf it is still frozen in a day you can hurry it along in cold waterCook your turkey in a roasting pan with a lid on itIf you don't have that, seal by tenting it with aluminum foilTwo hours should be good at( 325 degrees )while it is sealed then give it an additional 30 minutes uncovered to brown the skin nicelyYou don't want to wrap your turkey tight you want to tent it or the skin will stick to the foil and pull off with itTent but seal aluminum foil to the edge of the pan tightly to keep moisture in, for a nice moist bird.
