Answer:

He will be okay! Horses are toughHe will cuddle up with other horses and sick his butt to the wind and everything will be nice and warmI especially wouldn't worry is he is going to be in a barnIf he does get a little cold he will be okay because he will have time to dry off and warm up in the barn tomorrowI keep my girl outside year round and don't worry about herYour guy will be fineDon't worry!
He should be fine unless he is a older horse (20+) or has trouble keeping himself warmAll the horses at your barn are probably shedding out their winter coat and its most probable that one a few have blankets on themI (personally) agree with your barn ownerHorses were meant to have a winter coat and to be kept in a pasture but it is still nice to have your horse in the stall during the cold weather since it is probably not used to being to coldPlease don't take that rudely I just mean it most likely isn't a wild mustang is all:D Hope this helped ~Lizzie
My gelding is 23 years old and has never been blanketed and has the prettiest coat in the summer time as soon as he shedsThe only time I use a blanket is on a skinny old mare that we have on the farm because she has no fat to keep her warmI also blanketed a rescue I got because he was under weight but as soon as he fattened up I didn't blanket him anymorePeople will have different opinions on blankets and that's mineI feel that as long as the horse is inside and health (fat in my words) you shouldn't have to worry about itAt my barn I currently have 3 belgian draft horses and a my old gelding and when there's 2 feet of snow outside and it's 20 degree I wear carharts and 2 layers to the barn until I'm inside because the body heat they produce keeps the barn pretty warmIf your worried about his coat start to give him supplements to help with his coat to maybe keep it nice and shinny for when he sheds outhope this helped.
i do rug my horse as he has been clipped out but i do regret that now as he has about 5 differnt type of coats as i can see by the tempture your not from the uk so you wont really have a 5 degrees advarge tempture or constant rain soi f i was yo id not worry about blanketing him as the weathers not bad and hes grew a coat it means hes weathered so i wouldnt reccomend it as he may get a cold
