I was thinking about supercharging my 1996 V6 Mustang How much boost can I run and still have a reliable driver? It has 120K miles on it and runs really smooth right nowAfter boosting it for a few years, I was planning on either rebuilding or replacing the motor with all the goodies in itI would be using ATI Procharger intercooled kitI was thinking maybe 7 or 9 poundsDo you think this will be ok for awhile??
I had a 95' MustangWe wanted to drop a supercharged engine in it, so we found a totaled Thunderbird with the Supercharged V6, and the car was crazy fastIt would have no problem keeping up with our 2001 Mustang GT Also, we were running 12 lbs of boostIf you can get your hands on one, go with a 1991-93' Dodge Stealth RT/TT It has more options than any mustang on the market, and the turbos boost up to about 14lbsAWD, AWS, AW independant suspension, and had a top speed of 183, but, we had the prototype.
