Question:

How safe are you inside your house during a lightning storm?

What things are best to avoid during lightning? Is it true you could be struck while sitting on the toilet or using water from the sink?I was just trying to hang curtains and caught myself holding the metal rod towards the ceilingeek! Could lightning have struck that or is it safe because there's a roof in between? Also, is it really safer to be in a car during a lightning storm? Thanks!

Answer:

Fire alarm or buglar alarm? It sounds like your security system is going off.
The highest point of the arc is at the half way point of the range. (Edits for BigT) R v?g??sin2θ … (Introduction of formula for range.) R 26? ? 9.81?? sin2(35°) … (Substitution of given variables and known values.) R (676)(0.102)sin70° … (Sub-calculations) R 68.9 ? 0.940 … (Sub-multiplication and sine value substitution) R 64.7 … (Finding range value.) R/2 32.4 meters. … (Division by 2 to find horizontal distance to greatest height.) Edit: A typo that got carried through, that's what. But it only amounted to a rounding error. Edit: BigT: I hope I have properly interpreted your meaning.
