There are two types of dye powder and liquid. I strongly recommend the brand named RIT. One bottle of liquid dyes 2lbs. of dry fabric. follow the detailed instructions on package. As long as the fabric to be dyed is not 100% polyester or 100%acrylic you will have great results. wash your dyed items alone for short time or with just like colors so you don't get dye fade on other cloths.
with black dye would be the obvious answer
